“I have been taking Jen’s Pilates classes since December 2011 and am very happy with the results! Jen suggested Pilates to me following my treatment at physical therapy for a hip replacement. I was unsure if I could participate, but with her encouragement, I started. She is very patient with everyone in the class and always adjusts exercises to each individual’s limitations. Because of the way class is conducted, everyone gets something different to improve their wellness from each class, and no one feels self-conscious due to their limitations.

“I met Debbi and Jennifer in 2011, when my doctor suggested physical therapy for scoliosis and kyphosis that were causing me lower back pain. I felt so good after therapy that I continued working with them and have just completed the Drop Two Jean Sizes with Debbi. This program got my attention because it focuses on proper nutrition as well as physical fitness. It’s an overall complete program for a lifetime of good health. I can’t tell you how much better I feel—I’ve dropped four inches around my waist and two inches around the abdomen. My energy has increased, sleeping is improved, and overall attitude is so much more positive.

“I initially had been referred to Debbi at the end of March 2013 due to ongoing problems, some related to hip replacement and some because of longstanding back issues. She videotaped my walking and developed a series of exercises that quickly began to alleviate some of my concerns. During this process, I learned that she was starting exercise classes for golfers. Debbi is an exercise physiologist and also has graduated from the Titleist school of golf. I told Debbi that I had lost distance for the past several years and my index had gone from a 4 to a 9. I also was experiencing more discomfort after golfing, and golf was no longer fun for me. She convinced me to sign up for the classes. I am so glad she did.
“The classes do not focus on the fundamentals of the perfect swing. They focus on balance, mobility, and strengthening the core muscles needed to swing the club effectively. The classes are small, and you get plenty of individual attention. They are also fun. But they are hard work, and there are exercises that can be done at home during the week. Since starting the classes, I have gone from a 9 to a 4.8. I now have much more balance, a smoother swing, where I am not lunging at the ball and am getting more distance with much less effort.
